All designer bags are not created equal...

Sometimes I'm not entirely sure how or why certain bags get made, and I'm even more shocked that people buy them. Sometimes I fall in love with a bag so hard that I visit it like a lost puppy in Selfridges, checking on its well being and seeing if it goes with my outfit that day. There's a reason (or three) some designer bags get my attention and some don't, and it has nothing to do with the price tag - if it did then I would be in love with all designer bags. No, it is based on structure, quality, and of course style. If I'm going to invest in a bag, it needs to be something that I can see myself wearing with every outfit; from jeans and a t-shirt to a suit. I want the bag to be classic, but also have a wow factor of something new and ingenuity.
I love a bag, and I know many of my clients "don't get it" but I love how a lovely handbag can round off an outfit, be the buddy to your belt, shoes or even an item of clothing, and really add a finishing touch. Don't poo-poo the bag. The bag is a key accessory to an outfit and shouldn't be overlooked. At no point am I saying that your bag needs to be designer, absolutely not, in fact I have fully embraced the quiet luxury avenue of handbags and look for bags that don't have a showy logo or pattern. But if you are looking to invest in a bag, here are my favourites.
