You need to stop shopping until you raise your standards.

Time and time again I enter into women’s wardrobes only to be met with expensive pieces that have never been worn and shitty basics that have been worn to death. My client often exclaims that she “has nothing to wear” but it’s clear that she has clothes a plenty. So whats the main issue here? She needs to raise her standards of where she shops and what she buys.
This epidemic of buying crap clothes often goes hand in hand with imposter syndrome, but not always. A lot of the time it’s because our generation grew up with the introduction of fast-fashion and it became our normal. Why would we pay more than £1 for a t-shirt when we can get it that cheap at Primark? WHY?! Well I’ll tell you why.

Apart from the obvious horrific process that the for-mentioned t-shirt had to go through to be made - that tshirt is not going to make you FEEL good. It just won’t. Nor will it make you look good. It has been made for EVERYBODY and not you. It feels flimsy (because it is) and you know its a throwaway, a “straight in the binner” if you spill a bit of coffee on it.
However, if you spend £35+ on a cream t-shirt you will feel £100000000 wearing it. You won’t even spill coffee on it because you will value that tshirt THAT much more. The fit is fantastic, the structure is amazing, and the quality is miles infront of the £1 t shirt. The more pricey t shirt doesn’t even recognise the £1 piece of cloth as a tshirt thats how superior it is.
You catch my drift.
And this is how I want you to view every single purchase you make, right down to your knickers and socks because they matter too. Every item of clothing you put on is a reflection of who you ARE, who you’re BECOMING and who you WANT TO BE…so don’t be shit, be fabulous!
As soon as you start raising your standards on every piece of clothing you buy, you raise standards for yourself. You feel more amazing, because you look more amazing. When we feel amazing, we feel more confident. When we feel more confident, we make better decisions. When we make better decisions, we make more money. We just do.
Take a good haircut for example. When you walk out of the salon you feel incredible, like everyone wants to have sex with you because your hair looks AMAZING. The confidence gives you a pep in your step you can’t buy in any shop (except the hairdressers…) The vibe you give off and the energy sphere you have now entered means your unstoppable.
This is where I want you to be every morning when you get dressed. Spending some time and money on yourself is not vain, or conceited…its just a brilliant financial decision.
And this is a real struggle a lot of women have, especially as they start making more money or find themselves in a situation where they have a lot more disposable income. The habit to still shop in shitty shops because its what you’re used to will hold you back from your dream wardrobe, but more often its the thought that you don’t DESERVE to shop in the better shops. WHAT? Thats a load of shit and get that out of your head immediately.
It is a god damn miracle that you made it this far, so for the love of christ get yourself some amazing clothes that make you feel like you can take over the world…ok?
Dress for the woman you are today and for the woman you are becoming. Dress UP, it will raise your frequency and open doors you didn’t even know existed. Raise your standards in everything you buy and stop settling for the shit - it shouldn’t even exist in the first place.
