Designer or Dune?

I love a designer shoe as much as the next gal, but when it comes to everyday footwear there are only a few shops I like to frequent and Dune is one of them. I can always find a classic style, the shoes are incredibly comfortable, and now they're doing amazing "dupes" of some designer favourites. I have been known to prefer the Dune more understated version when compared to it's designer counterpart, which is great for my wallet and for my feet! This Spring and Summer holds some amazing new styles of footwear and Dune are not here to disappoint. So if you're after a shoedrobe revamp, then feel free to have a click and a shop. Always feel free to get in touch with any styling questions! J x

Now these Gucci Princetown loafers are some of the most comfortable loafers I've ever tried on, but my goodness are they pricey! I have them in the ecru, and I've been lusting after this camel pair but can't justify the spend on a 2nd pair of princetowns!! So bring on the Dunes...
These cute little mofos do the same trick with just as much class and style. Slip these on with some jeans, shorts or a cute little jumpsuit! Would I wear them with a dress? Probably not. But just you wait for what's next...

The Dad Sandal, introduced and showcased here by Chanel and boy have they become popular! Its not my favourite look to come out of 2021/2022 (controversial) but they are growing on me ever so slightly. They just remind me SO much of my Dad's actual sandals that I'm not sure I could ever invest.
But at a much MUCH cheaper price point I'd be up for giving it a whirl with a pair of these cute padded black leather beauties or I have my eye on their natural raffia style which would look super summery and low key with a dress or shorts this season!

Bottega Venetta has recently become a name on everyone's lips (or at least some) and it's easy to see why. With sexy lines and funky styles the shoes are easily recognisable from a mile away if you're wearing glasses. But make no mistake, these strappy stilettos ain't cheap so when it comes to dressing up, I'll keep my price down.

Coming in an array of colours, these heels look just as fun and very 2022. The square toe is the nod to Bottega I need, while the puffed up quilted straps offer a stylish and comfortable addition to my outfit. Perfect for summer dresses, a trip to the races, or racing to a wedding.

If you haven't seen the latest Celine sandal then I fear you may be living under a rock. These are popping up all over my instagram and I, for one, am smitten. The platform sole gives this sandal a grungey vibe, while the straps offer a flash back to the 90's Jesus sandal I didn't know I needed. The chic Celine logo bejewelling your ankle is all you need to make any summer outfit look stylish and on trend.
But if shelling out £650 for sandals isn't your bag then try these on for size. I love the raffia platform, and while there is no golden marking of fabulousness on these, the straps do offer an easier to wear angle and a more classic look that could stand the test of time

I think these Chanel slingbacks have to be one of the classiest most classic pairs of shoes in the world. However, due to their material you can't really get them wet so living in England makes them relatively impractical...and they're very expensive wardrobe ornaments.
Bring on these fab dupes...I mean...these are definitely dupes...Dune have done these in the classes camel and black colour combo as well and its great to have options! Probably more robust and definitely not as expensive I think I would probably get more wear out of these Dune dupes than the Chanel lambskin slingback.

How fab are these vintage inspired slingbacks? Dawned with the classic Gucci horse bit these little cuties with make any summer outfit that little bit more chic! The square toe and delicate buckle are amazing accents while the perfectly curved leather keeps these clunkers feminine...
and while the Dune version might not be so refined (I mean, that's where the money goes!) they are a fabulous alternative to the real deal. The block heel makes them super comfy to stand in all day at a wedding or cricket match, and they look fabulous with jeans or a summer dress! I think I even prefer the more understated buckle. See!

I have yet to jump on the Hermes Oran bandwagon, but I know many women who are on it and absolutely love it! People swear by these sandals, and I can see why their simplicity is appealing (the sandals, not the people). They come in a rainbow of colours and boast comfort too.
But would you really be able to tell the difference if someone was wearing these? Would it matter? Its the same chic vibe, effortless style and minimalist footwear...isn't that what matters? These better be just as comfortable!

Last but definitely not least we have these gorgeous and oh so chic Gucci loafers that are not only practical but also very very classic. They can smarten up any casual outfit in the Spring Summer and Fall/Autumn, but I love them best with trousers...or jeans and a jumper.
And if you love that look too but don't love the price tag then these are a fabulous alternative. Enjoy the buttery soft leather knowing that each crease in the loafer isn't squashing away 100's of ££ so you can dance through the streets with gay abandon.
So does it matter if they have a designer tag or a cheaper price tag? Absolutely not! Get the look you want to achieve and enjoy those extra pennies while doing so.
